This website
abed-al-rahman.tech is a static portfolio. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no accounts, forms or comment boxes. The contact link opens your own email program; nothing you type is sent to this site.
The pages are served by Vercel, which keeps the usual short-lived server logs (IP address, time and page requested) to run and protect the service. I do not read, export or combine those logs.
Central Command, my job search tool
Central Command is a desktop program I wrote for my own job search. It runs only on my own computer and is used by nobody else. With my consent through Google's sign-in, it reads one Google Sheet (my application tracker) and my Gmail mailbox, both read only, so that it can keep the tracker current and match replies to applications.
- The sign-in token is stored on my computer and nowhere else.
- Nothing read from the Sheet or the mailbox is published, sold or passed to any other person.
- The program cannot send email or change the mailbox. Its Google access is limited to reading.
- I can revoke its access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which removes everything it can reach. The token on my computer is then useless and is deleted.
